MODELLING AND SIMULATION
Our services cover a wide range of areas
Different target groups also require different input. With our specialists, we offer you a comprehensive service for creating virtual room models (digital twins) and using them either for the new planning of IT rooms or purely for the operation and management of an IT room.
Enquiries from four different perspectives
- Are you a planning office and would like to use the Digital Twin for everything from the concept phase to the detailed planning of capacities (air conditioning, room layout, power supply, etc.)?
- Are you a service provider for data centre operators and would like to use the digital twin to stand out from competitors and offer your customers a comprehensive service for, e.g., IT hardware replacement and scheduling?
- Are you a data centre operator who wants to manage every aspect of the IT room (including IT replacement >which aisle, which rack, which slot) while keeping an eye on all the risks?
-
Do you already use the Digital Twin and would like to have your room automatically evaluated weekly based on the cooling capacity used and soon to be required, as well as the carbon footprint?

We would be happy to model your Digital Twin
If you do not yet have our software or want to outsource the initial modelling of IT rooms for strategic reasons, we are happy to help.
Based on the floor plan, an initial empty room is created, the raised floor and/or suspended ceiling is installed, the pipework, power and other cable routes are integrated, the PDUs, UPSs and ACUs are placed and much more. We support you all the way to equipping the cabinet at the time of model handover. We call this model status ‘fabric model’.
If necessary, we can use virtual loads to thoroughly test the air conditioning in advance and also perform this service regularly during operation in the future or integrate it into the training. The software platform is modular and can be tailored to your requirements regarding the extent to which you want to use the digital twin.
At the time of delivery of the model (fabric model), we ensure that at least one of your employees has received extensive training so that they can immediately integrate the digital twin into their daily work and that even if the hardware is replaced, the model will never be out of date.

DC Designers
We are happy to support you during data centre planning with the digital twin. This not only helps to create a 3D image of the room, including all fixtures. Each object is a ‘real twin’, i.e. each cabinet and each cabinet configuration describes its own weight, as well as a power load and power loss. You can virtually populate the room and check the local weight on the floor plates, but you can also simulate the heat generated and the cooling paths. The planned cooling capacity is not only based on a rough estimate, but also on reliable CFD simulations.
If you are interested in testing this modelling technique yourself, we offer a free two-hour introductory course including a trial license. Perhaps this would be a new line of business for you? In any case, we are still looking for subcontractors to support us in creating fabric models!
